Ariana Grande channeled the 1960s this week as she teased snippets from NBC’s “The Voice”.
The “Sweetener” singer took to Instagram to show off her monochrome outfit on Wednesday night, starting with a unique $ 328 flower cutout top from Gaia worship. The chic piece was paired with a high-waisted straight black mini skirt; the design is courtesy of the New York-based brand Palace of mirrors and once sold for $ 325.
The finishing touch to the all-black ensemble is inspired by one of the biggest shoe trends this year: over-the-knee boots.
Over-the-knee and over-the-knee boots are the must-have boot silhouettes this season. From on-trend leather cables to edgy lace-up styles, you can find the tallest shoes on everyone from Ciara to Lily Collins and Gwen Stefani among other big names. In cold weather, the silhouettes provide coverage to counter skirts, dresses and shorts, as well as an extra layer for any leggings or jeans look.
The Grande pair, in particular, featured croc embossed uppers set on a smoother patent-leather base with an elongated toe; the boot was then balanced by a curved square heel and a blunt square toe.
Anyone who follows the “7 Rings” musician knows that she loves good tall boots too. In December 2020, for example, Grande posed alongside the crystal-inspired bottle of her signature new scent, REM and dressed up a relaxed black Alo Yoga bralette with the most flowing baby blue skirt. A
long with glamorous makeup and hoop earrings, Grande completed the ensemble with white knee-length leather boots. The boots are set on a wooden block heel for a solid base, a style of the Swedish brand Anny North ‘s the next spring ’21 collection; similar styles sell for $ 709 online.
As for Grande herself, the Grammy-winning artist has never been one to shy away from a daring shoe moment. In fact, the singer most often opts for higher heels in everything from her onstage look to her off-duty style. His previous enhanced styles have come from Club Exx, Demoni, Unravel and other major labels.
When not wearing boots or heels, the newly married musician keeps things casual with Nike Air Force 1 shoes, Crocs clogs and chunky Naked Wolfe sneakers, among other styles. Her fashion career, however, extends beyond a simple elegant closet. She was named the face of Givenchy’s Fall / Winter 2019 campaign and has previously partnered with Reebok to help launch an all-new silhouette for Fall / Winter 2018.
