The city chapter of FICCI FLO hosted the Gliteratti 4.0 FLO Regal Hall, a fashion show, where 12 designers and makeup artists from Punjab have a platform to showcase their talent. The show also saw ace designer Tarun Tahiliani showcase his festive collection, with actor Manushi Chhiller causing a stir in a beautifully designed lehenga. The glamorous event saw fashion industry entrepreneurs from the city and region showcase their festive collections and it also gave a platform to city-based plus-size model Pranati Bhalla to launch an inclusive collective to support and encourage plus size models.

Praising the city’s female entrepreneurs, Manushi Chhiller said she always feels excited to collaborate with female entrepreneurs. “I came here to support and appreciate the women of Amritsar, who have done so much in their respective fields. My association with Tarun Tahiliani dates back to when my sister and I wore his creation for her wedding. It is truly a gifted artist.” Tarun Tahiliani also said he feels happy that the growth in terms of the fashion market in two- and three-tier cities has been huge for the industry. Founded in 1995, Tarun Designs Tahiliani skillfully juxtapose modern sartorial prowess and the intricacies of Indian technique.Manushi Chhillar, who brought back the Miss World crown to India after 17 years in 2017, recently made her Hindi film debut with the historical film Samrat Prithviraj in big budget from Yash Raj Films, where she tried out for the role of Princess Sanyogita.To congratulate her on her outstanding debut, Manushi also received the “Best Debut of the Year” award at the event.

Another highlight of the evening was the electric performance of the famous Rajasthani folk singer Kutle Khan. Khan, who has performed on multiple global platforms and music festivals. About 150 women from the city participated in this event. as designers, makeup artists and models who were all members of FLO. The theme of the show was the rich culture and tradition of Punjab to bring it to the national fashion platform. The show culminated with a gripping feature film depicting the traditional Punjabi wedding. Shikha Sareen, President, FICCI FLO, Amritsar, said the event showcased the talent of artists in the city.
