Get your tissues ready! (More likely for tears of laughter.)
It’s been about a few months since New Jersey implemented the ban on single-use plastic bags on May 4.
So how are you doing so far? Is it easy? Did you get used to it? Personally, I don’t want to admit how many times I’ve had to buy new reusable bags at the store because I always forget to bring those home. *cough-five-cough, cough*
But of course, the majority of us had no “unique” uses for them. To us, they were more than just grocery bags. These things were quite versatile.
They were perfect as trash bags for cleaning litter boxes. Collect old cooking grease to seal and dispose of trash. Improvised shower caps. Dog poo bags. Dog bags. Lunch bags for saucy and dripping foods. And…they fit *perfectly* on those little wastebaskets we keep in the bathroom.
If you have leftover plastic bags stored in your pantry, (you know – your plastic bag full of plastic bags), chances are you’ve either completely used them up already, or you don’t. only a few left before being at the mercy of reusable bags.
TikTok user @Bessasmusic happened to be on his very last bag. One last plastic bag to line the tiny wastebasket in the bathroom. And he treated the ceremonial occasion with every ounce of sentimentality it deserved. Check out the tearful video below!
It’s obviously fun, but seriously, I personally think it’s better that we take steps to be less dependent on plastic… But shitthese things were practical!
At least he did it that long! I used mine up in two weeks. Do you still have any left?
