One of two men wanted by investigators for allegedly robbing a couple at gunpoint in Woodbridge earlier this month was arrested on Tuesday, officials said.

Razzell Austin, 21, of Avenel, has been arrested on more than half a dozen charges, including two counts of aggravated first-degree sexual assault and two counts of first-degree armed robbery, according to a joint press release from Woodbridge Police and the Middlesex County Attorney’s Office. Other charges against him include aggravated criminal sexual touching, kidnappings, resisting arrest, weapons-related offenses, etc., authorities said.

A man and woman were walking in the Lee Street and Scott Place neighborhood on April 16 at around 9 p.m. when they were approached by Austin and another man and robbed, police said. The woman was sexually assaulted during the incident, authorities said.

Austin was arrested in Woodbridge on Tuesday and was being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending a Middlesex County Superior Court remand hearing, the office said.

Authorities released sketches of two suspects last week and are still on the hunt for the other suspect, who has been described as slender with brown hair and brown eyes and is between 5ft 5in and 5ft 9 tall. inches. He was wearing a gray Nike hoodie and white Nike sneakers at the time of the assault, officials said.
