- Jeanne D’Arcy was last seen leaving the Ocean Beach Hotel for a walk
- Some of Ms D’Arcy’s personal effects were found on Cottesloe beach
- Police say there are no signs of foul play but don’t rule it out
Jeanne Christine D’Arcy was last seen Wednesday evening in Cottesloe.
WA Police Senior Sergeant Paul Robinson said Ms D’Arcy was staying at the Ocean Beach Hotel on Marine Parade and left her accommodation at 11.09pm.
“Unfortunately Jeanne has not been seen since leaving the accommodation and we currently have concerns for her well-being,” Senior Sergeant Robinson said.
A land, air and sea search is underway, with police and the state emergency service scouring the Cottesloe coast for Ms D’Arcy after some of her items were found along the shore.
“I would ask the public to keep their eyes open, and if they see anyone they think is Jeanne, please call the police,” Senior Sergeant Robinson said.
He said that although there is no evidence of criminality, police are not ruling anything out at this stage.

Ms D’Arcy’s daughter, Marie, made a statement to reporters, thanking the police and volunteers for their efforts.
“We are desperately looking for mum. This is very unusual for her,” she said.
Ms D’Arcy is described as 159 centimeters tall, fair-skinned, medium build, brown hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white floral long sleeve top and slip-on shoes.
Anyone who spots her should call 131 444 immediately.
