Marking a significant step forward in the METASPEED portfolio, ASICS is preparing to launch two new variants of the same series. With its latest kicks, the brand aims to usher in a new era of human-centered design.

Both silhouettes, SKY+ and EDGE+, are set to launch on June 14, 2022. Sneaker geeks can easily grab their pairs via ASICS’ e-commerce website after they release globally in June.

The shoe company launched its line of METASPEE sneakers in March last year. The first two pairs in this range were called METASPEED SKY and METASPEED EDGE.

Both were scientifically designed with distinct running styles in mind. This step, according to ASICS, “takes human-centric design to the next level.” Each of the two variants was offered for $250.

After over a year, the brand is back to show off the latest evolution of the series and take the wearer experience to the next level.

ASICS METASPEED sneakers are built with human-centric design for better performance

For the next releases, ASICS has unveiled the METASPEED EDGE+ and METASPEED SKY+. The two improved running shapes are designed to better suit two distinct running styles. Thus, runners can achieve new personal bests based on data collected from their athletes over the previous year.

The METASPEED EDGE+ is intended to help pace-type runners go faster by lengthening their stride and helping them better manage their cadence.

Likewise, the METASPEED SKY+ is designed to help runners lengthen their stride. However, thanks to the addition of FF BLAST TURBO foam under the shoe, as well as a carbon plate, the shoe will rebound more and save energy as you run.

Premium knitted uppers are decorated with stripes throughout and feature an active FF Blast Turbo midsole foam that houses a propellant carbon plate. This facility helps with energy conservation and the ability to maintain faster speeds over longer distances.

Additionally, the tongues of these striking trainers are adorned with signature ASICS METASPEED branding. For added complexity, similar discernible markings are applied to the lateral sides of the shoe. The FF Turbo branding on the soles is also a standout feature of the shoes.

In Malaga, Spain on April 24, ASICS athletes battled to achieve personal bests in the soon-to-be-released METASPEED PLUS series. META: Time: Trials was the name of the event that showcased the upcoming collection.

ASICS fans will have to wait for pricing details for both pairs to be released, which should be coming soon.
