EASTON, PA – Tucked away on Bank Street in downtown Easton, you won’t find your average sneakers at Snkr Box LV, stocking some of the hardest-to-find footwear.

D’Anthony Santiago, the owner, is only 18 years old and has already been running the business for over a year.

“It was part of my culture. Growing up, my dad always loved shoes, so I had a natural love for the shoe game,” Santiago said. “Once you open a store, people come to you. We’re definitely on social media, word of mouth is huge.”

They buy, sell and trade shoes. It also offers a selection of clothing and vintage.

“It’s all about supply and demand, you can’t go to your average Foot Locker and find these shoes, so where do you go next?” Santiago said.

This is where Snkr Box comes in. I tried my best, but couldn’t resist a new pair of Nike Dunks.

On Friday, D’Anthony will receive the “Rising Entrepreneurship Award” from the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

“I look forward to being able to represent young Latinos and young entrepreneurs in the region, and I hope to be able to inspire young people,” Santiago said. “We recently had a back-to-school campaign, giving out backpacks, school supplies, just trying to give back as much as you can.”

As he focuses on growing his business, D’Anthony hopes to continue to pay off in this success: “Using my voice to help young people in the same situation as me, definitely inspires them.”
